The first team of Eckenroth authors began their work at Eckenroth in August . The four young writers created a variety of subjects and developped creative material for theatre, the play „This winter‘s August“, film „Conflict and Pathos“.
Eckenroth Writers narrate stories written by life itself in which the protagonists, shape the plot according to their character and destiny.
At present, the authors are working on „We are Goethe“ historical drama series and „Daddy’s Rainbow Ring“, a childrens‘ book trilogy. The development of a creative piece is based on the fundamental principles of the Eckenroth method and working as a team.
The training programme for writers, accommodation, meals and tutoring and counselling services provided by the Eckenroth Foundation are funded by donations.
To create a climate of understanding, awareness and comunication, is always the base of the Eckenroth work.
When borders close, we open horizons.
You reach this hamlet and you discover the whole world. Surrounded by vineyards, a tiny village in Hunsrück, only one car fits in the narrow street. A coarsely plastered house front and mysterious darkness behind barred windows. A giant, rattling, wrought-iron gate, you have to push to open.
You shut this door behind you and you leave outside all which is not within. There is nothing to distract you – other than yourself. In Eckenroth time goes different, nobody runs, the quickest things are thoughts and pens. (By a young writing talent)
